DEFECTIVE PRODUCT RETURN/ EXCHANGE/ REFUND POLICY

 

 

Defective products:

 

  We accept returns of defective product for replacement. For up to 30 days after the date of the invoice, or longer if the product has a longer warranty. If a product has a longer warranty period it will be indicated in the product description on our web site. All returns require a return merchandise authorization number (RMA #) Contact our office by phone or e-mail for an RMA #.  The cost to ship the item back to our warehouse is the responsibility of the customer. The cost to ship the replacement product(s) back to you will be paid by Safety Securities (Davis Inventures, LLC).

 

  For your protection we recommend that they be shipped with tracking information and insurance. If it is sent by postal service, use delivery confirmation and insure the package. If going by UPS you can use regular ground service. Insurance is not needed unless the shipment exceeds $100 in value.  Please test the product(s) before returning to us. Many items shipped back to us as defective work fine; some after doing something as simple as putting in new, fresh batteries. If an item is returned to us and found to be working the customer will have to pay return shipping charges. In addition, the item must not show signs of abuse or misuse and all parts and accessories must be included.    

 

Exchanges:

 

  We will accept product back for exchange (credit against the purchase of another product) within 15 days after the date of the invoice with a 20% exchange fee. Please note that this does not apply to all of our products. Certain items can not be exchanged, such as pepper spray or any item that has been discontinued after the date of the invoice, for example.  Contact our office to check BEFORE sending anything back.  Each product returned for exchange must be in its original condition and ready to go back on the shelf or a higher fee may be applied. This includes the item and its packaging. For example, make sure that there are no price stickers (or residue from where they have been removed), or tags on the unit or the packaging.

 

  All exchanges require a return merchandise authorization number (contact us for an RMA #). The cost to ship the product back to Safety Securities will be paid by the customer. Refunds:

 

  We will accept product back for a refund within 15 days after the date of the invoice with a 35% restocking fee. Please note that this does not apply to all of our products. Certain items cannot be refunded, such as pepper spray or any item that has been discontinued after the date of the invoice, for example.  Contact our office to check BEFORE sending anything back.

Custom made or ordered products are not returnable for reasons other than defect - No Exceptions.

Any damages or losses incurred during shipment should be reported to the Safety Securities at once.  All claims for product shortage or damage must be made within 3 day of receipt of shipment by fax, telephone, or Email.  It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all merchandise for any physical abnormalities, or obvious damage within 3 day of receipt of the merchandise.

Cancellations:

If you wish to cancel, or change all or part of an order, we suggest that you call 1-877-714-6836, immediately to speak to a customer service agent. Once the order has left the warehouse, cancellations, or changes will be subject to a 30% re-stocking fee, and customer is responsible for shipping charges.

 

***Please note: Do not ship pepper spray by any overnight service or by priority mail. Use UPS regular ground service or parcel post with the US postal service***   

 

ADDRESS CORRECTION POLICY

 

  It is very important that we receive a complete and accurate address for orders. Because UPS charges us a $6.00 fee for an incomplete or incorrect address shipped by ground and a $12.00 fee for an incomplete or incorrect address shipped by air.

 

  We are forced to pass the charges on to you. We suggest that you including your street address, (with any apartment or suite number) state, city, and zip code. If you are assessed an address correction fee it will be charged to your credit card and we will e-mail you a copy for your records.
